Our Trajectory
Frontier Foundry Labs was built to eliminate the friction between digital engineering concepts and physical validation. Recognizing a critical bottleneck in the Midwest’s heavy machinery and industrial sectors, the firm focused on providing high-capacity, rapid-turnaround electromechanical prototyping.
In the spring of 2026, operations scaled into a dedicated 1,200-square-foot commercial facility. This expansion centralized the additive manufacturing fleet and technical consulting infrastructure, allowing for increased production volume and tighter quality control tolerances for our commercial partners.

Ransom Schmidt
Founder & Technical Lead
Holding a degree in electrical engineering, Ransom directs the firm’s technical consulting and hardware integration capabilities. His background includes providing specialized technical consulting for heavy machinery manufacturers, including Bobcat, and developing advanced engineering demonstrations for Rogue machines. Regulatory Note: Frontier Foundry Labs operates strictly within the domain of rapid product development, electromechanical prototyping, and proof-of-concept execution. The firm does not provide legally stamped Professional Engineer (PE) approvals.

Director of Business Operations
Ashley manages the strategic logistics, facility operations, and vendor integrations that keep the prototyping fleet running at peak capacity. Her oversight ensures that procurement timelines, material supply chains, and complex project schedules align with the rigorous delivery requirements of corporate clients.
